The OOFOS mule is everything I hoped for in a recovery shoe, it’s comfy, supportive and roomy. This mule is made for recovery with a unique footbed design that absorbs impact and reduces stress on your knees, ankles and other joints. The OOFOS insole is also supportive and feels great on my flat feet that require arch support. If you prefer to wear shoes with your custom insoles, avoid these shoes because the insole is not removable.

The OOFOS mule can be worn as a recovery shoe, house slipper, or out around town. It’s not the best looking shoe but the black color mule looks more like a shoe and the stardust (pink color) mule looks more like a slipper. I prefer the black color mule to wear around town and the pink or white for indoor use. If you decide to get the pink or white color for outdoor use these shoes are machine washable and made to minimize odor so they can be easily cleaned.

The shoe runs wide with a wide toe box so they are perfect for those of us with bunions or wide feet, but avoid if you have narrow feet. In my experience, the sizing of these shoes runs true to size and I wear them in size 7.5. I originally tried these on in size 8 (half size up) but they were too long, too wide and slipped off my feet. OOFOS gets complaints on the inconsistent sizing of this mule, but I haven’t experienced that.
The OOFOS Mules are also insulated with Primaloft hi-loft ultra insulation making them warm and toasty for indoor or outdoor use. These mules are expensive, but I recommend this brand and style for those of us with feet issues due to the support and roomy comfort.
